The Rutherglen Regatta
Saturday 15 ; Sunday 16 January
The Rutherglen Regatta is Australia’s oldest rowing regatta
featuring two days of competition with events held every
three minutes from 8am to 5pm. A special feature this year is
the sprint four and sprint eight championships of Victoria. Held
at picturesque Lake Moodemere five km west of Rutherglen
on the Murray Valley Highway.
A Day on the Green
Saturday 12 February
Enjoy a sensational day of music, fine wine and food and soak
up the ambience of one of Australia’s iconic historic wineries.
This year INXS top the bill with special guest JD Fortune,
supported by the reformed Baby Animals and Sean Kelly (The
Models.Food & wine available. BYO picnic, deck chair/rug.
(No BYO alcohol).
Opera in the Alps
Saturday 15 January
One of regional Victoria’s most popular events, staged in the
picturesque grounds of La Trobe at Beechworth. This year,
superstar, Yvonne Kenny and acclaimed
Opera Australia tenor, Rosario La Spino top the bills.
