Beechworth Fires

Thankfully Beechworth and 1860 escaped the recent fires. Our condolences go out to our fellow Victorian's who have lost so much. We encourage anyone who reads this to support our fire affected towns by visiting them and bringing back the livelihoods of so many that rely on tourism. Beechworth is open for business and ready to welcome you.

Accolades for Wardens Food & Wine

We are very excited about this news. Wardens Wine and Food, one of our great restaurants in Beechworth, has come up trumps in The Age Good Food Awards. Rocco Eposito, owner of Wardens was the unanimous winner of this year's Wine Service Award. One of the judges described Rocco as " the epitome of a sommelier and a waiter who had the ability to put the customer at ease whether they were a wine connoisseur or not". Wardens was also once more awarded a prestigious hat, following on from their hat last year. Congratulations to Rocco and the Wardens team.
